Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) initiated by the DZIDZO association

In Gapé-Kpodzi, one of the 2 cantons of the Zio 4 commune, the 'Assainissement total piloté par la communauté' (ATPC) project initiated by the DZIDZO association, has produced concrete results. Between July 2022 and June 2023, 40 latrines were built in 40 households.

The project began with a public awareness campaign, and the construction of latrines and hand-washing facilities. 40 heads of household were willing to spend money on the construction latrines.

DZIDZO provided technical support and donated cement to all beneficiaries who were willing and able to contribute to the purchase of materials (iron, sand, etc.) to build their latrines. DZIDZO, committed to the community for the end of open defecation.
