The DZIDZO Association welcomes students from the Bioforce Europe Institute

In its mission to help improve the socioeconomic and cultural living conditions of the Togolese population, the DZIDZO-Togo Association welcomed students in humanitarian logistics from the Bioforce Europe Institute. These trainees from France will learn how humanitarian associations work and bring their expertise to the association.

Founded on March 30, 2020 by Dr. Akliku Nomessi, the DZIDZO Association is a well-being organization for all, which has set itself the task of improving socio-economic living conditions throughout the territory. To carry out its mission, DZIDZO uses a methodological and participatory approach by providing both material and non-material funding and assistance while allowing the population to live in complete autonomy and parsimony.

The areas of intervention of the DZIDZO Association cover four main areas, namely Health, Education, Environment and Culture. More specifically, for this organization led by the doctor, Dr Akliku Nomessi, it is about making basic necessities such as water, electricity, access to health services available to the population; contribute to the fight against poverty in rural areas; provide assistance to children and young people in the field of education and professional integration.

« The goal is to bring people to well-being. The individual must be socially well located, in good health and to be fulfilled. We are in a dynamic of supporting people to be able to take care of themselves, to be able to get out of poverty and misery. We try to see in the population, what they need, that is why we will never take action without preliminary studies. We make sure that these are not one-off actions but lasting, » explained the president of the DZIDZO Association, Dr Akliku.

« We have a project to sponsor and install artisans at the end of their training. Because there are many, especially girls who have finished their apprenticeship but due to lack of financial means have not been able to settle down. We plan to find a place for them, to provide them with at least the minimum necessary to be able to work, with the aim of making them financially independent », adds Flore Adjassou, sociologist, program coordinator of the association.

Last year, the association carried out various activities in the territory, notably in Flangadoua (Zio prefecture), in Massouhoin, in Akato and in Tokoin Elavagnon. More than 120 households have benefited from donations of food kits and school kits in these localities. The major project currently underway is the construction of a borehole in the town of Flangadoua, an area recognized by the association after field studies, to have a real problem of access to water.

For this new year 2021, the DZIDZO Association has several activities on its agenda, from the field of health through education, the environment to culture. To join the association, simply send a membership request by going to the site www.dzidzo-togo.org under « Become a member ». Membership fees are 15,000 F.
